At the end of the course, the vet will be able to know if behavioural problems are linked to living conditions and will know how to prevent these problems. |
| Résumé |
To prevent behavioral problems, the enrichment of the living household must be the basis to guarantee that cats have all their behavioral needs assured. This way, together with some specific training, we will prevent adequately behavioral problems. However, when the cat presents with a behavioral problems, the origin of its negative emotional state or lack of control of its positive emotional state, needs to be identified to treat it. And the environment is, many times, the origin of this unbalanced emotional state. For all that reasons, knowing the basis of Environment Enrichment applied into every cats' households, is a "must" in every veterinarian training to make sure the correct and adequate message is spread to the owners. That way we will be, all together, creating a better living conditions for cats, promoting their welfare. |
